Isim Isyarah In Arabic Along With Examples

In these weeks my posts are specifically for muraja'ah or repeating lessons that have been learned, be it in the durusul lughah or al-muyassar book.

There are fellow readers who ask me, how to make it easy to learn Arabic? One of the efforts to make it easy, both easy to memorize and easy to understand, is to repeat lessons both basic theory and vocabulary.

So, in the spirit of repetition, I wrote another lesson from the basics, namely about Isharah Isyarah in Arabic, the basic rules of Isharah and its examples.

Isim Isyarah for Mudzakkar

* Isim isyarah in English is a demonstrative pronoun (pronoun), if we are familiar with the word show. So the word for indication in Arabic is isim isyarah (إِسْمُ الإِشَارَةِ).

* Isim isyarah for close Arabic language = إِسْمُ الإِشَارَةِ لِلقَرِيْبِ = ismul isyaarati lil qariib.

* For close indications, the Arabic is = هَذَا (hadzaa) = the meaning in Indonesian is this.

* Isim isyarah for long distance Arabic = إِسْمُ الإِشَارَةِ لِلبَعِيْدِ = ismul isyaarati lil ba'iid.

* For distant indicative, Arabic is = ذَلِكَ (dzaalika) = it means that.

* Both hadzaa and dzaalika, are used to designate something mufrad (singular) ..

* As with other pronouns, this isim isyarah is ma'rifah.

Examples of isim isyarah for mufrad mudzakkar

Mufrad means that the object is one / single.

Mudzakkar means that the object is classified as male noun (male).

Examples of isim Isharah in sentences:

- هَذَا بَابٌ = hadzaa baabun = this is a door.

- ذَلِكَ بَيْتٌ = dzaalika baitun = it is a house.

Isim Isyarah for Mu-annats

Same explanation for Isharah mu-annats.

* So if the isim is mudzakkar, the isim isyarah is also mudzakkar.

* If the isim is mufrad, the isim isyarah is also the mufrad.

* If the isim is mu-annats, the isyarah is mu-annats too.

* For close indication => هَذِهِ = hadzihi.

* For remote indicative words => تِلْكَ = tilka

Examples of isim isyarah for mu-annats mufrad

- هَذِهِ حَقِيْبَةٌ = hadzihi haqiibatun = this is a bag.

- تِلْكَ سَيَّارَةٌ = tilka sayyaaratun = it is a car.

That is Isharah's explanation for a single word, both mudzakkar and mu-annats. As for the plural words, the next article will follow.
